Both heelers travel in Lappland with routine, both guys spend 6-8 weeks above polar circle. In springtime it is sitting in a snowmobile sledge, running aroud, looking at humans try to get fish from holes in the ice, sitting by the fire. Then running up and down fellsides with the skiing family. In summertimes it is sitting in canoes and boats, looking at the fishing, in autumns walking and fishing again.
The little heelers participate at full speed and they seem to have fun also. Sitting in the bow of the canoe and running on hummocks seems allways to be fun.
Roope and Tommy are ideal dog friends in Lappland, because they can behave themselves and they keep short distance to us (sometimes they are 1 cm behind us) watching that WE do not run away. Heelers have travelled to Lappland by train, plane, bus and car. Every alternative have been fine, but our own van is the best one. This 1200 km goes fine, because the heelers love to be in the van. | |
